I know its kind of a pedantic and even egotist question to make but screw it since i rarely make journals and i rarely write here anymore , im just wondering if anything ive ever drawn has produced some reaction on someone other than myself.

Cuz art is a grind where you wanna impress yourself and others but you end up usually dissapointing yourself or are so caught up in the grind that you never sit down and question the impact of your art.

So yeah i do wanna ask cuz im always wondering about it , whats the artwork ive done that has inspired someone to draw or create or made some emotion lol.

Oh well since i haven't made a journal of any kind of importance in a while , here is something that's actually relevant for once and i really just wanted to say my two cents about it.

Cuz i think its a very VERY important topic for artists nowadays and since it will undoubtedly impact more and more of us as the years go by.

The AI image algorythms behind this are only in their infancy , i'm sure with enough time and computational power and in our lifetimes "AI art" will be indistinguishable from art made by humans BUT here is the crux of the situation and what i wanna boil down my points into is that.

AI ART WILL NEVER REPLACE ART MADE BY HUMANS!

And im not trying to be overly optimistic or naive , cuz as i said AI art will only get more advanced to the point that is terrifying.

But the thing is and im going to say sounds REALLY stupid and i really want you guys to hear me out on this , and its the simple and fundamental idea that i have wish is:

Art is not about the art itself

It's about the human experience behind it!

When a human being makes a piece of art it has meaning beyond it , even when the artist finds no meaning behind it whatsoever , its kind of an untold truth of art we always knew but never understood there is a certain magic in art that requires a human input and human intentionality and unintentionality like the magic formula to make good artwork.

It's why some people are obsessed with no only the art made through out history but the authors behind it , where they were born , the time they lived in and all the intricate details that lead them into plastering their mark in time with their artwork.

This goes beyond all concievable forms of visual aesthetics or technical ability not only cuz of the skill or proper and true way of making art but because of the CONTEXT that took into making it , the years of honing it , the decades of studying it or not studiying it , there are infinite layers of complexity in human made art that you simply cannot and will never be able to program.

If all it took to be a great artist was to make visually appealing pieces with no errors whatsoever then people who copy paintings and trace art will be the worlds greatest artists.

(And even guys who literally copy paintings are characters on their own...)

But to further the point.

Art is all about context , the person who made it , what they tried to communicate , what they were feeling and where it came from, their inspirations behind the art Etcetera , etcetera , you can go on and on about the true depths that analysing a piece of art can lead you into.

Art is very much one of the pinnacles of the human experience

From Davinci's paintings to 1989s Akira there is something that requires an inherent human input to create art.

If the Mona Lisa never existed and some AI program managed to create it Pixel by Pixel then that art will be absolutely 100% worthless , it wouldn't even be worth the paper its printed on.

It would be void of meaning , context and ideas behind it , it will have nothing but an image with no value and no human soul to it , no mistakes and no true comprehension of the incalculable merit the art has.

But even tho if i havent made it obvious enough i do NOT like AI "art" as a concept compared to art made by actual humans since i legitimately love and enjoy the value and craftmanship of artist as something borderline sacred.

And all that being said the real meat of AI made art is that in the end.

AI art will be yet another tool for artists...

(And we should all think of it this way)

Even tho i have a lot of mixed feelings about it , these are only tools who are only as good as the people willing to use em and the people with the in depth knowledge to use em in ways amateurs never will.

The same way someone can copy a gourmet Cheffs recipe to a tee and the Cheff could tell you in excrutiating detail what ways it can be improved , the exact making of each ingredient and infinitely massive pool of knowledge of the taste , preparation and cooking methods you used and could improve upon.

The point im trying to get too in the end is that

Art is about incremental and eternal improvement , there is no such thing as simply stagnating and thinking your art is perfect the way it is and you cant get a robot to fake that for you.

Cuz if all it took to be a singer was autotune or all it took to be a mathematician was to type on a calculator then all of us will be holding concerts in university halls while writting high level mathematical formulas.

It's not about how the dish is made but on how well do you know the ingredients and who made em and for that you need to make learn how to make dishes yourself like everyone else.

So my big recommendation or anyone who think AI is a thread (Myself included) is that you should relax and focus on using this tool for improvement.

And the ultimate point i will REALLY love to hammer home if any of this rant didnt make any sense to you is this.

For all the computational power we could possibly create as a species and the combined knowledge of human experience , the one truth that you could ever truly create as an artist is simply your own vision.

All of that going back to my main point.

Art is not about the art

Art is about YOU

Your experience , your vision ,your life

What you paint , draw , animate , sing about etc.

Is the human expression coming directly from YOUR view of the world and no machine can calculate that.

So yeah i know all of this sounds SUPER corny but i will rather come out as corny than to come out as dishonest.

So just go and get drawing like everyone else No robot is gonna save you ,take away your artistic voice or give you shortcuts from the journey of the artist , the only one in charge and capable of making art unique to this world is YOU.

First of all , sorry for not making any journals in so long , i used to make A LOT of those back in the day but now i have been pretty idle on em mostly cuz i usually come up with some odd topics of conversation that might derail or get way too weird.

And i have been trying to keep this page as art centric as possible.

But i just wanted to thank you guys for all the support , faves and watches you guys do!

I know its gonna sound weird but your support means the world to me and to know atleast ONE person likes my work or even cares about my doodles means a lot to me.

I know this is a boring journal but im serious , its truly something else to have this many people look at my odd lil doodles ive been doing for...quite a while now...nearly 2 decades now my God i have been here for VERY long.

And as always i can only promise you guys that imma make better artwork that is atleast somewhat decent in the future or i hope so but yeah that is all just a lil something i wanted to tell you fellas.

I gotta put more effort to talk to the few people that like what i do
