We are heading into World War 3...

Fear tends to be rooted in one's lack of education on a subject. Speaking firsthand, I'm not particularly worried about there being a WW3 with the western developed countries going to blows with the Russian Federation and it's allies. Western countries currently spend so much on social welfare programs to keep people unemployed, that it's eroding government spending at every level. The influx of millions of "Muslim refugees" has also pushed things over the edge that leftist politicians have to accept the reality that they must change or see their countries experience an economic collapse destroying the social welfare experiment.

Given the most recent stats, the largest the Muslim community in Europe is around 10-15% and only a tiny percentage of them are joining Islamist insurgency groups. Furthermore, these aren't people with much to offer. They're not getting former military officers with years of tactical/strategic knowledge, experienced physicians, nurses, programmers, quartermasters, or engineers. These aren't fighting age men from wealthy or influential families. They're membership consists primarily of career criminals, rapists, losers, losers who recently converted to Islam, and otherwise worthless people who will ultimately not be missed upon their deaths.

From a strategic perspective, they're primarily going after people and the most disposable people at that. Now while unsettling, that tends to produce the opposite effect amongst those raised in western countries. Also, the arms flowing into the near east region from western governments appears to be doing it's job of keeping the various armed factions preoccupied with trying to kill each other and less so us. In fact, the only thing that keeps ISIS/ISIL/DAESH/AL-QUEDA going is that there is an abundance of otherwise worthless men willing to take up old Russian weapons in the grand act of throwing their lives away for a god who takes no ones side.
